Well I was inspired by our "supernatural" Signs and thought about how we say when seeing a robin that it is someone who has died coming back to visit us. A couple of years ago we had several robins...we called them after my gt gma "nana" and her 3 brothers arthur billy and Sammy. I was only thinking i hadnt seen that many robins in the garden together since?? And then this morning....all 4 robins together in the front garden.

so I've painted this with my grandads watercolours and my new pencils.

first time I've ever drawn a bird and found the beak very difficult. Tried to do more shading etc So here he is...

:)Well I guess it has to be Arthur after my Grandad. I'm really pleased with it. I do feel like I'm improving gradually.

That's brilliant @Snorky85 . Do you sit watching while you draw?, take a photo first and use that to go by ?, or draw from memory?
            Whichever way...you've certainly nailed it.:dbgrtmb:

Well I've either taken a photo of something or found a pic on the internet. Just sitting down to do some painting now but I cant seem to think of anything to paint!

              Maybe a flower today...

Well I've not had a go at a seascape yet. Did this today but I think it's poop. Started off as a fox sat in snow, but then ended up like this.

So I've just bought two watercolour technique books from amazon.

@Snorky85 I don’t think its poop. It may not have been what you originally were trying to achieve but you’ve turned it in to something else. To me I get the feeling he is looking into the distance thinking about something. So you wonder what’s he thinking about? :)

Thanks for being kind about it. Doing it and it turning out rubbish has made me feel miserable! I guess I need more patience and practice.

@Snorky85 don’t let it get you down. As I said there is a ‘feel’ about the picture that he is lost in thought. You’ve managed to capture an atmosphere. Form will come from practice. Concentrate on what you’ve done well. Look at your robin, as an example off what you can do. :)
