Crafters Corner 2023/2024

A plain one first, then I'll pick out some jazzy colours to throw at the next.

 

My great aunt, sadly long gone, made this crochet doily for me fifty years ago. As you can see it's faded over the years and was a deep pink. Sorry, there's not a close up of the detail as my daughter now has it and took the pictures.

 

Not talented myself, but here is one of our local postboxes, decorated in time for the D Day commemorations earlier this month.

I love these @Ergates and share them with my ladies in the patchwork club, some of whom only ever do knitting and others who knit and crochet between embroidery and patchwork projects.

 

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy seeing them. I’m not the only person who stops to take a picture, lots of locals seem to appreciate them.

It took me a while to tune into what was in your painting - very clever.

 

Haven't been on this thread for a while. Love your watercolour "doodle" @Penny_Forthem and your lion @Valley Gardener but I've always found knitted dolls just too creepy.

I haven't done much crafting lately but I did make a "stained glass window" patchwork after a request for a workshop at the patchwork (and embroidery, crochet, knitting) club in the new year. Bit crumpled as it's been in a bag to take to the AGM and has to go back next week so the new intake can see it along with all our other projects this year.

 

I know what you mean about dolls I don't like the creepy Victorian ones
I love the stained glass patchwork so beautiful.
