As I'm a beginner at knitting @Sheal I am blown away by the jumper: it-is-stunning! Way beyond my own capabilities.

    Very well done :star:

Thanks everyone for your compliments. :) It's a very basic pattern in rib and knits up easily.

Jenny......whenever I knit anything I always join in wool at seam edges to keep it tidy and discount the risk of knots undoing. The issues with this yarn meant I lost half of a large ball as I had to keep winding off parts of it so I could match the joins. :doh:I'm wearing it with jeans, I'd look like Max Wall in leggings! :heehee:

"M"....keep up with the knitting, you'll soon get the hang of it! :)

Jenny......loving the tea cosies, you've created a good selection of patterns. :dbgrtmb:

Bet Murphy would love a bedding blanket made up from your odd bits of yarn, Sheal :doggieshmooze:

              Aww, bless him :heehee:

Ok, well, how about using up those wasted balls of yarn to make matching wrist warmers :dunno: Or a Beanie for yourself (just *not* on circular needles! ) for when you're working in the garden on a cold day?

My colouring is fair Jenny so have to be careful what I choose. I like the cream above but burgundy is pulling me at the moment. I'll see what there is at the shop I use, so who knows what I'll come home with! :)

That's what I like Sheal. Going into our little Wool and Craft shop here in Battle. Like a kid in a sweet shop! There are so many novelty yarns out there that entice you. And knitting is calming and good for the brain I believe. Makes you concentrate - especially when following a pattern. And good for the soul - when you make it all up and feel good about what you've made.

We only have one decent shop here for wool and crafts, I only hope I can get there tomorrow with all the water laying on the roads.....it's sixteen miles away.
