I think you would be better observing the on-line tutorials , So many to inspire you Bexy. I knit and crotchet left handed so it's difficult for me to follow a right handed knitter and you would find it equally confusing I think. I have found the u-tube tutorials for a left handed person invaluable,

I finished the butterflies and they are now up



I wasn't sure i really liked them before but i do now

Think they look quite nice next to the cogs

 

A few Fathers day bits. First some fudge I made for the father in law.



Also a card I made for my dad. It rocks back and forth.

 

Absolutely brilliant JJ - both gifts. Just gazing at your fudge is making my mouth water....

I will be making another batch up for my nan soon and will probably have loads left over. I'll send you some too if you like. Although fudge is heavy lol

Wow! That looks good Jane! I presume you've tested it to make sure it tastes okay?

 

I took the trimmings of course for me and Mr Jane to eat. I couldn't give my father in law fudge with untidy edges. I doubt he would have minded as he had nearly a kilo of the stuff to eat.

It was meant to be rum and raisn but I think the rum quickly burnt off in the heat of the cooking, so have learnt next time to add the rum at a much later stage.

 

Project completed:

• A fruit bowl turned upside down, coated with cling film, then strips of newspaper dunked in a slimy goo of flour and water draped over it and left for days and days to dry out =one papier mache mould.

• a few coats of Sadolin to make the rock brown and shiny
  knitted seaweed
  • 
    
  • 
    fastened to the rock with 2 sided sticky tape
  

• 
  and the prawns to complete the project

Yeh the prawns are amazing. I live the sea weed too it wld make a great scarf
