A dear neighbour (she's in her 90's) always stops to look at the fuchsia Delta's Sarah in the front garden. She was so happy when I grew a rooted cutting for her and it is growing on well. She invited me and Mr Namaste to a grand afternoon tea that she had prepared and this is a surprise Christmas thank you gift for her.
      ps those stamens were fiddly...!

I cut different lengths of 6 strand embroidery thread and tied a knot in each end. Then threaded the centre hoop up through the top of the cosy and secured it. Fortunately, the petals cover up a few untidy joins.....

More xmas cards using last years wrapping paper.

Only 8 more to make. My scalpel and cutting mat havent been used this much since leaving uni in 2009. Knew all that model making would come in handy for something

She uses all sorts of things that she has to hand as she is on a tight budget. When she decorates her tree this year I will get a photo of it for you, you may be able to steal some of her ideas. ;)

They look awesome! Did you cut the stars out of the wrapping paper then stick them on or cut through the card and mount the wrapping paper to the back.

I will have to post up some of my Christmas cards when I get the time.

My recent non woodcarved creation are these. Where I volunteer were holding a santas grotto and I was asked to design and create a badge that the little children would be given after they had seen santa. I drew the image out on the computer and then printed off over 100 copies and sat there making badges for most of Saturday afternoon with a badge maker. I girl aged 9 I think saw what I was doing and asked if she could help too, so she sat there with me cutting out all the discs while I made the badges. I bought her a cookie as a thank you for her help.

I highly recommend badge making as it's great fun. Repetitive, but I love making them.

Thought 100 would have been enough but found they had all gone by the end of the day yesterday!
