Just finished this one today. I like to listen to music when I'm making them - I prefer knitting to reading a book.

Going round the edges when you've finished in either slip stitch or dc? I find that makes it look much neater.

That's cute Jenny - do you make them up or work from a pattern?

The cosy itself is straightforward enough GA. The bits and bobs come from this book. It's full of lovely things to make,

With so many poppy seedheads about I thought it would be nice to brighten them up for dried flower arrangement. Since it has been spitting with rain in the past few days and not much fun to stay outdoors, I picked up my paint brush and started to work on them. Here is the result

My daughter's friend has been very supportive and loved the lavender cosy. She asked if I could make her one. Apparently, she's a bit eccentric, Bohemian Irish, and loves roses.
Is this OTT enough do you think P1030700.JPG ? :heehee:

She sounds zany enough to do just that GA and it does get mighty cold in the middle of Ireland come Winter,
