I'm a bit naff at sewing but thought I would show you all my Mum's Christmas present I just made for her. He still needs some whiskers and a collar but he's 90% finished.

I don't really know what to make the whiskers from. I really don't want to go out and buy the toy ones and was hoping for some kind of white wire, but have no idea where I would find such a thing.

:wow: That looks great, Jungle Jane.:dbgrtmb:
I would use fishing line. They come with different thickness, so choose one that will suit the lovely cat. You can use a big wool needle to thread them through.

I've never used dental floss . Is it bendy? I always thought it was just a bit of cotton for some reason.

Not bendy (not like a pipe cleaner)

Yesterday Mrs Shiney held a coffee morning at home to show off her crafts and hopefully sell some. It was very successful.

She had a lot of her crafts on display. Glass plates and bowls, smaller glass items (T-light bridges, trinket dishes, pendants etc), a lot of bracelets (bead, Pandora style and memory wire), pressed flower pictures and she sold a lot of knitted ear warmers and scarves.

I took a few quick snapshots. The larger glassware was on two big garden tables under the covered pergola (to keep the rain off) and there were four tables of crafts in the summerhouse.

The larger glassware was like these

                  A few were inside
