Really bad snow here but I got delivery of my Feb. copy of 'Digital Photo' so I am a happy bunny. I reckon it is the best of the digital magazines.

Good article about using a scanner to make photographs.

Even though I can't do the art I like reading how you achieve the effects...it makes you realize how much work goes into each pic :eek:

 

Every so often, you have to do something a bit different...





No - I don't know what they mean either, but they were fun to do.

Now that's what I call a logo...



So easy to overdo it by putting too much in. Less is definitely more!

 

I want to know how you did that H! I once followed instructions to produce golds letters like that and failed miserably on countless occasions :rolleyes:
The flower pic - started with a green page, 7x5. Selected a frame and filled it with pink.Selected and moved whole flower pic onto it then changed opacity and resized to fit green rectangle. Using polygonal select tool, made irregular shape on flower pic and moved onto main page and positioned it. Made 2 other different shapes the same way, adding drop shadows to each of them. Then filter, artistic and poster edge (my fave effect!)Hope you can understand this!! :confused: :D
