Well done, Marge - you have made a beautiful job of cutting that out! Now that you have done so and put it on a black background, we can all copy and cut it out instantly using the magic wand tool.
Select magic wand, click it on the black colour Go to Selections, click on Invert. Copy (CtrlC)and paste as a layer (CtrlL)on another picture or new page.

Hope your leg recovers soon - you sporty types must take care!

Just had a go at doing it in PSP but even upping the tolerance, I couldnt get it to select all the black - looks like you clicked right at the top and have selected a lot of the horse instead.
No trouble doing it in PS though

Thanks about the leg HB - it hurts and I am not good with pain :(

Not sure what went wrong there, WF. I set the tolerance to 30 and clicked on the black in the top right. No problem.

If you forget to go to Selection and choose Invert, the Magic Wand selects the black background which can be fun when you paste over another photo!

Once you have selected and inverted you can paste it on another photo and give yourself an impressive garden ornament. This took just a second or two and all I did then was to improve the contrast as the original was a bit lacking - another second or two.

Then you can copy as many times as you like and have a whole rodeo of horses. You just need to resize and mirror as required.

    Fun ain't it

I didnt forget to click invert i copied your instructions the only place it could have gone wrong is the paste on layer bit as i had nothing to paste it on and ended up with two images the same as above..and i am not familiar with tolerance levels will have to get another look at it..what a nightmare..
