Excellent Dendro - you certainly have combined several exciting designs into one picture!!!

Brilliant start all of you and so good to see that each of you have gone for something of your own.

A good thing to do is open one of your photos. Then click on Effects. You get a drop down list and if you click on Effects Browser - you get to see thumbnails of your photo in hundreds of different effects. Double click on the ones you like and save them. You can do the same with the Adjust Browser and get loads of different colour changes etc.

This is a good way to see the range of effects and then you can adjust them again and again to get ever new designs. Some look good and some look terrible.

    Experiment and enjoy!

Having enjoyed others efforts can't help but give it a try. Could be addictive.

you are all doing great just practise simple things and it starts to come together..as Hb said once you have selected your photo go in the effects and try a few styles out..the borders and frames are under images..

Wow Fran - that is fantastic! It is indeed addictive!

Wildflower got me started and kept me at it too in the beginning. Soon after I started, I hit a dull patch and couuldn't get on with it at all. I would have given up, but she kept encouraging me and suddenly it started to make sense. I still can't manage her air brush technique, but do other things in different ways.

We all have our own styles and imagination is the key to unlocking the techniques. Visualise what you want to do and then you will find a way to do it.

Blimey! You newcomers can teach us old hands a thing or two! Well done all!

Not sure what you mean Windy - do you want to lose the black background?
