Love the watergoblin and the butterflies! Where do you start to learn how to do this? Any info would be appreciated. GF. [IMG]

Not particularly 'creative' but it took ages. The original photo of the Robert the Bruce statue was taken on a very grey day at Bannockburn and didn't look particularly impressive despite the angle. So I replaced the grey sky with a scanned photo (pre digi-cam)of a sunset over the Tay taken a couple of miles from here. Lost the original Bruce pic so I can't show how uninspiring it was.
But here's our national hero -

I like it Dave. Hope you'll do some more [IMG]

    Hi Garden Fiend
You need to get the right software first. Wildflower and I got a much reduced PaintShop Pro9 from Amazon because a later edition was being released. It may still be available. Others use Photoshop which is very, very expensive, but a lot can be done with Photoshop Elements which is much cheaper. They carry tutorials which help and there are books that explain things. Then it's a matter of getting stuck in and learning gradually. You learn by trial and error because your mistakes can just be deleted. Hope to see your work here soon [IMG]

Garden Fiend - Like Hornbeam says Paint Shop Pro is probably the best to go for as far as regards price. It is a cut down version of the full PhotoShop program which is the software used by professionals. I've used both (used to get Photoshop supplied free) and PSP will do just about all you'll ever need. The latest version of PSP, Paint Shop Pro X has had very variable reviews so I would suggest you look at the reviews on the www before shelling out cash. PSP version 8 or 9 will be much cheaper, run faster and probably be all you ever need. Suggest you look on Amazon or Ebay, though in the latter case make sure you are getting a genuine version.
