Now you make me curious to know where what you call "your collection" of pictures come from... Are you sure that I would not find any of them browsing here and there...
I will not certainly copy any of your work, you don't have to worry about that...

Miraflores ..a lot of our pictures are from our own cameras and we just add things to them..hornbeam has donated many images for us to use of which he has personally taken the photo so they belong to him..and he has kindly shared them..And a lot of our pictures are from FREEFOTO their is a letter on page 35 or 34 of this thread giving us permission to use their images..I dont think any of us mind you taking our art work as its just for fun nothing seriouse at all..We also have images with our software that we use..And yes we have borrowed the odd leaf or flower from here or their but not the complete picture..as we use our own backgrounds and make a picture from that..We have never used a complete picture from flickr as a base for our pictures..as like i said we use our own photos or freefoto for that purpose..we take it in turns putting pictures up..its also possible to buy software with images on and that can also be used and shared betwen us..

As Wildflower says - so I agree. There is a lot of free clip art on the web and you can buy clip art software giving thousand of pictures where the photographers have waived their copyright. So there is no lack of accessible material. The problem arises when someone copies a protected photograph which someone then reuses. For example - the large cave photo that Miraflores posted to us. Someone else then sticks an animal head in the opening. Fine, but whose photo is it then? That is why I simply asked the question " Is this copyright free?" If it is - fine. If it isn't then the original photographer can sue.

Best thing is for everyone to carry on doing the sort of pictures that they have been doing, but check before downloading any photos from elsewhere.

    I totally agree.

My reason for getting the FreeFoto permission was to avoid all the problems discussed above. Plus, as they are all taken by the same guy with top quality equipment, the chance of a jpeg virus is virtually nil.

We have that plus all our own pictures so can we please just get back to imaging now?

Some time ago, Wildflower was asking for some frosty photos. Here are some that you might want to play with:
