The Earth and Moon are by NASA and are both on my software disc so are ok for copyright

If you want to experiment with cut outs - use the magic wand and experiment with tolerance levels. For the Earth and moon, I clicked magic wand on the blackness of space. Then went to Selections and clicked on Invert. That neatly selected perfect globes of the planets. I had to resize them to acurately fit them to the hand. Then fiddle wth the edges where they met the fingers so that it looked like the planets were being held in the hand and not just floating by.

I dont get on with the magic wand - so I use the magnetic lasso tool. I only use the wand if theres a large area of one colour.

Thanks for the lovely sunset over Hockley, Dag. I love those big Essex skies. It would make a great subject for you to paint. Here's my take on it [IMG]
