Thanks Kandy - you were right about moving the rose up and so getting all of the reflection in. I just made it too dark. I'll work on it later but it gave me a terrific migraine last night :(

Thanks for your comment, Fran. The odd shape you mention is because the rose has ben turned on its side and is actualy one of its petals. You get all sorts of random effects when you play around and when some look good, you keep them in That is one of the attractions for me -the unexpected and not being in complete control. That is also the opposite of course - the frustration when you can't get the durned thing to do what you want it to

 

HB,sorry about the migraine.I woke up with a splitting headache and it went on for two days.I find it hard to concentrate on looking at this screen when it is like that.I don't get migraines that often but when I do they are stinkers so can sympathise with you I must get Mr Kandy to teach me how to scan photo's then I can put up some of our Haw frost photo's and others so you can all play about with them

It is nice to get feeback from the artist as well when members make comments.It shows that at least you read what we put

 

Absolutely - that is why I invited comments. You have all been very helpful with suggested improvements and pointing out faults. Sometimes when you are working on a picture, you just can't see where you are going wrong.

No I don't print out pictures and hang them, but you can if you want to. Problem is that you will only have the low resolution jpeg website version.
