Just heard that Tony Cozier has passed away.

Always one of the great voices of cricket commentary, I always looked forward to a series against the West Indies, for the pleasure of hearing his calm, soothing tones and knowledgeable take on the game.

So long Tony and thank you for all the enjoyment you have given to cricket fans over the years.

I remember his voice well, I can remember watching & listening to him when I first started getting into cricket when England toured the West Indies in 1990.
            Another great gone!

I had a pleasant surprise at work today. My boss, a very keen cricket fan, gave me his two tickets to the first day of the test at Lord's on Thursday. He was going, but can't make it now. :hapydancsmil:

Been too busy to post these for the past few days; just a few quick ones from my day out at Lord's on Thursday.

My dear old thing, it's one of Henry's pigeons.

Good to see the Sri Lankans putting up a better performance too, after the last two games. It makes the match far more interesting than the rather one sided affairs we've had so far. :)

I've been too busy to reply sadly. It looks like you had a good day. I agree that it is nice to see a contest. It would have been nice to see Alex Hales get a century at Lords too!

Anyone else listen to Henry Blofeld's last stint on TMS this afternoon?

A truly unique commentator and raconteur, his love of the game and descriptive commentaries on the cricket and his knack of being able to set the scene for the listener in such an entertaining fashion will be missed.

Thank you Henry, for all the entertainment my dear old thing. :dbgrtmb:
