Going off thread a little (so please forgive me) I just wanted to say what sweethearts both Cassie and Myah are Smiffy.

I'm sure like most of us who has lost a much loved fur baby you would gladly trade your beautiful garden just to have your beloved pet once again.Hel.xxx.

Thanks Hela , we do miss Cassie she was a real character in the village due to her peculiar skipping walk. We may get another Cocker bitch later this year - it's up to Mrs Smiffy.( As most husbands, I am not allowed to make decisions ;) )

Sorry, I am a bit dumb, could someone explain how this technique works exactly? Do I get the lawnseed to sproud and then chuck it onto the lawn like normal lawnseed, or do I lay little pieces of indoor grown turf over the bare bits?

Sorry, I can't do multiple quotes in the same message, so here's another one:

Smiffy, your cockers are to die for, Maya is a beauty! Lovely pictures.

What an excellent idea! [IMG] I'll definitely try this.

The bare patches are not where she pees, they are where she tears along in search of neighbour's cats. Also, we play ball up and down the garden, which does not help (picture great big lumps of grass flying through the air as she turns a sharp corner). I have discouraged ball play in the garden for the last week or so though. [IMG]

In the second picture, you can see where she pees (the gravelly seating area in the back on the left). She seems to think of gravel as a kind of cat litter tray - nice. Thank God for Jeyes fluid!

OK, I'll wait for a few weeks before I overseed. Thanks for the tips, guys. Great forum!

PS: Rosie says she ain't no criminal and does not wish to be discussed as such on the web. She would like me to point out that she's an angel!

Ah Rosie the joys of a dog run along the hedge been there, done that although truth be told we haven't got one now (a homemade dog run by the girls that is)our BIG Lad use to do it and to be honest I wouldn't mind having to put up with his little run if I could wish him back.

Our two old ladies are getting a little long in the tooth for that.

I wish I could train the girls just to pee on the gravel but no they both have to do number 2's on it and I can tell you it's murder trying to find it after being in the sun! :D Hel.xxx.
