I have had flowers for perhaps 3 weeks. I believe I planted the seeds in beginning of
April and they have grown like crazy.

Something is def. done wrong. Perhaps I should kidnapping some bees
as a last resort. Also taken cuttlings, but they grow slowly, and are quite tiny
    overall in comparance.

    Where are they growing?
They appear to be in a window behind blinds.

I have watered them all since all I can go by is the fact that the earth was
dry. Didnt do much to try and stick down the fingers however, the ground
is just thick with roots. The leafes that where yellow and completely brown
are now removed. They where all sitting as hard as any other green leaf,
so the plant is / was alive all the way out. Fingers crossed!

I tend to think they might need more fresh air, maybe moving to a porch of similar that is left open by day and closed at night.
Then once acclimatized, potted into slightly bigger pots to give them a boost.

      Thanks.

I actually bought a table fan just an hour ago, that I will have standing by my
french-balcony door to suck in more fresh air. But I think this years cucamelon is
done. I took away around 15 tops that where growing yesterday as well, in hope that the
focus will get bigger on the remaining plant. Because a lot of male / female flowers just pop-up to dissapear without ever flowering out. Just turn black.

      Well see: )

Took cuttlings as well. But they seem to become some sort of a miniature of the mother plant,
growing slowly with much smaller leafes. Many cuttling failed as well, so perhaps the seeds is
what to go for with this one!

Apparently, although I've not tried it, the roots can be saved to grow next year.
It is a perennial, that dies back during the winter.

      Just a thought.

Yes I actually plan to save them.

But think I will let them be left in their pots. Because
earlier reviews didnt look too good when only putting away
      bare roots.

Will be interesting to see what will come out of this next year.
Will do the same with some strawberries.

Have read that you should let the soil really dry out first,
witch seems logic in case of mold etc.

Okey. Perhaps wait until Aug / Sep?

Do you think its possible to get started with these as early as
February / March again? Not sure what kind of "resting space" is required.

I honestly wouldn't bother. Lots of people on here grew them and were less than impressed, myself included

They were tough skinned, lacking in flavour and just disappointing. I'd rather grow cucumbers (which I am!)

I agree with @Loofah , never thought they were worth the effort of growing them.

But if you're like me, sometimes you just like the challenge, and you can make your own choices.:)

            Thanks guys.
Well they are practically finished here so I will know very soon.
I will problaby save one of the pots, and then place it outdoors next
year. Because 3 melons in total is a bit much work for the return: )

I guess these three was the only ones the bee did work on. All else where
me trying to hand pollinating without any result.
