Shed has been emptied, broken down, moved, reassembled and refilled. 2 x tree/shrub roots removed from next to block wall and ground leveled again. That was yesterday, today snow has stopped me...:(

G/house will be same orientation as the shed, so door facing front of Photo above, just the other side of that awkward grid, I say awkward because its not level due to the ground risng up sharply.

So the greenhouse will be set on a few courses of bricks and a level entry ramp of sorts will go to g/house door..over the top of that grid.

Bloomin snow..:D...I really wanted to get on with this today. Think I'll go and sulk and tease the cats a bit. :yho:

It's looking very neat, Steve :thumb:. The ground also looks very dry. Are you sure you live in Cumbria? :hehe:

Oh yes..its Cumbria alright, ground is dry because it had a good forking over the day before in an attempt to drain it a little....you can still see the boards near the shed used to traverse the mud whilst I was refilling it.

One 10 minute downpour and its like the Somme, some drainage will be going in under the greenhouse, this will eventually be extended the full length down and past the shed... it will all be paved down the side here in the end.

Sorry to hear about your brickie daisy, hopefully he'll arive tomorrow.

Well finally with a few days of reasonable weather, I've managed to move on with this part of the garden even though its been raining at night turning it into a mudbath.

Shed has been moved and a new gate made and mounted.

Due to the sites nature of flooding when it rains, I've opted for a flagged base to the greenhouse, so toms and the like will have to be grown in growbags or pots. As you can see I'm nearly at the point of glazing the GH now which will hopefully get done over the next day or two...then I can start filling some seed trays..:D

Then there is some tidying up to do..

Bet you're looking forward to the mountain of seeds you will be able to sow soon enough Steve, although unlike me try not to sow too many!:doh:But then again maybe that's just one of the faults we all suffer from when growing our own 'stuff' from seed.Hel.xxx.

    Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

I went out this morning with the intention of glazing the greenhouse, but first a quick run over it with a spanner to tighten everything up. I broke four bolts doing that so came inside to make up the roof vent...broke two more bolts !!

It was at that stage that Anne reminded me it was friday the 13th...

At that stage I called it a day, and wrapped up the glass packs untill tomorrow, I'm not superstitious but after the start I had already had I considered the thought of lifting pieces of glass 2 foot square above my head could wait for one more day.

    Steve...:)
