        Whilst I've been in the kitchen cooking I've been listening to some old rock era songs.

        This famous song is by the drifters and their lead singer was an unknown by the name of Ben E King :heehee:

          A song that was a bit less known, though it sold a million copies for it's singer/songwriter Bobby Day is this one, released in 1958.

          The reproduction isn't too good.




          He also wrote a big hit song for Thurston Harris in 1957 and it was covered by many artists. The Jackson 5 covered it in the 70's

            I've also been listening to this one which was Ricky Nelson's biggest hit in this country. It was actually the 'B' side of the record. The 'A' side was 'Travelling Man'.



            He had about 100 top 100 hits and a couple of dozen albums. He was also a TV star and a film star - was in Rio Bravo with John Wayne.

            He was another well known singer that died in a a plane crash - at the age of 45.
