On BBC Four is a program about one hit wonders.
Nena was bigger on mainland Europe than the UK. I preferred the original German version of her only UK hit.............


When I was a sprog I used to love the TV program Van Der Valk. Then in the late eighties when I started work my first big treat to myself was a flight over to Amsterdam. I now think of it as my second home and ended up living there for nine months in the nineties (as well as spending eight weeks there "recovering" from a hernia op about three years before that).


Away from one hit wonders I love this cover version of the Guns 'N Roses classic...............
