Here's me ribbing @Doghouse Riley , @shiney and @Tetters and it has just dawned on me that The Joshua Tree was released over thirty years ago!
I queued up to buy this as soon as our local Our Price opened and bought it on vinyl and CD. Still one of the top five albums ever in my opinion.

 

The sun is shining and this has got me a jigging - Happy days

 

This is sixty years old, but still sounds as fresh as the day I bought the album as a teenager.

I find it addictive.

Pete Townsend of the Who once said as a young man he locked himself in his bedroom listening to records until he'd learned to play the guitar.
Which reminded me of Marta Altesa. Another young female musician from Barcelona.

Whilst watching the movie ‘Corrina Corrina’ (good film, btw), this tune really grabbed my attention...



Just so laid back, love it...

 

It's taken me thirty years @longk but I'm sold! U2 are a band I could take or leave but the Joshua Tree is brilliant. I'll be making a very late investment.

 

I'd been to see them on every tour too but the Joshua Tree tour was their first stadium tour. It could have been a disaster but they took to it like it was the most natural thing in the world. Awesome
Trouble is that after the Joshua Tree it all went downhill, although Achtung Baby was a good album.

They still had there moments though............

They have a distinctive sound, the same also with Bono's voice. Something I like with all music.

 

After all these years, this one still sends a shiver down my spine...
