Currently Listening To 2023/24

I spent a lot of Sunday crying. I knew he was ill, but as ever, he was determined to win. A long, long time fan, and the greatest front man of them all. If you'd ever had the privilege of seeing him live - you'd understand.
Most people are only aware of Make Me Smile - he was so, so much more than that, and absolutely unique.
Walking down Renfield St after concerts at the Apollo, with the whole crowd singing Tumbling Down, is my favourite concert memory, despite it not being in the concert hall. He'd have liked that! He was adored up here. His acoustic tour with his brother was superb too. He did most of it sitting, as the after effects of his childhood polio often afflicted him.
He always closed with TD. The crowd favourite, and he loved his fans.

 

Yes i didn't know anything else apart from Make me smile, until i watched this video yesterday.

watched the video but I was surprised to find out he had had polio.

 

It was common back then @pete. He was unlucky - if he'd been born a few years later, he could have had the vaccine. Joni was the same, and Neil Young. They've battled on regardless. All music heroes of mine, especially Joni, and I'm very, very lucky to have seen them all.
