Currently listening to.... Summer (2018)

Natalie Cressman is a jazz trombonist with her own band.
But she has a great voice, with a huge range.

Last year she made a cover with her little band. It was alive recording (but she added a second track of her voice later) of "Thinkin' About You," by Frank Ocean and uploaded it to YouTube. But within a short time it was taken down. I e-mailed her on her website asking why it was no longer available, she replied thanking me for my interest and explained that her record company had it removed. Maybe some copyright problem, but that would be unusual.

Anyway before it disappeared I'd ripped it and put it on a CD of a mix of recordings for my car. I came across it yesterday.
I don't often play music in my car. But I really like this as it's unusual.

You've got me with this @Marley Farley, I think I'm hooked! I've just spent 45 minutes listening to various tracks of theirs. Although mainly reggae based they definitely have some alternative thinking with their music, a kind of 'earthy' sound to a number of their tracks.

 

For me, probably the greatest guitar player to walk the planet. I had the privilege to see him live a couple of times. Totally outrageous skills...

A brilliant guitarist never fails to give me the chills @Freddy! Gary Moore is certainly up there.
