        This was taken live in Stockholm in 1966. They don't show me sitting in the audience :sad: . It was a fabulous show :dbgrtmb:

                  I've got quite a few Leonard Cohen LP's but have to be in the right mood to listen to them - not quite suicidal :heehee: .

                  I've always liked this song of his. This performance occurred exactly 40 years after he first recorded the song.

                  They also made an action comedy film based on the song. It starred Mel Gibson, Goldie Hawn and David Carradine

                    Having mentioned 'suicide' reminds me of the theme song to M.A.S.H.

                    Suicide Is Painless



                    Plus, my usual piece of useless trivia :snork: - In 1970 M.A.S.H. was the first film in England to be shown as a late night film. Prior to this no films started late but this one started just before midnight at Leicester Square. Shock, horror reports in the papers!!! Allowing films to run into the early hours of the morning would encourage depravity :heehee:

                    The queue went all the way round the block and the media were interviewing people in the queue :). One stupid reporter asked me whether I thought I would be able to stay awake until the end of the film! :roflol:

                        Do you remember the complaints when an episode of M.A.S.H. was screened by accident that contained canned laughter?

                        I was one of the folk who phoned the BBC & got told they'd been sent the wrong VCR from the usa.
