1962 - before your time Zigs. I still love it. I mentioned to a old friend on the phone tonight - just a couple of bits of lines. He knew it immediately. It was so good to go to utube and find it again. Been buzzing around me like a wasp for 3 days. I can rest now....

When I was little, this song was on one of the few cassette tapes my dad owned. That cassette tape (and his few others) would get played on the rubbish battery operated mono 'cassette recorder' that my older sister and I were 'in charge of' in while travelling unrestrained in the back of my dad's Ford Consul whenever we were going anywhere far.

Clueless, now that brings back memories for me as well. :blue thumb:

I remember when they first released the film in 1969. It was shown in the West End in the first cinema to have the back row as pairs of very comfortable armchairs with no arm between the two seats (I wonder why they did that ;) :heehee:). Mrs Shiney and I were far enough into our marriage that we actually sat and watched the film. :snork:

It was 'Paint Your Wagon'. I went to see it in the West End too but got kicked out halfway through because of a bomb scare. However we returned again at a later date to see it having been able to retain our tickets with compliments from the cinema for the second viewing. :)
