Sorry, but to me the Durian fruit looks like s##t, smells like s**t and tastes like s??t! Truly awful!!
The thing that I could not get over was how much better the Mangos and Lychees tasted - I would not have thought it possible until I was in SE Asia. And the food from the hawkers stalls! My faves were fish head curry for breakfast and the fresh octopus grilled and put in a bag with a chilli sauce (in Bangkok).

We had satay eating competitions down Tengah village, and keema curry nights at J.C.s makan stall. I never plucked up the courage to try the 'pork porridge' though ! Cheers, Tony

Well it's been nearly 2 weeks since I popped them in the cupaboard on top of the boiler; I've been checking them every other day and yesterday we had success, about 5 seeds have a nice little root coming out. I'll let them get a liitle bigger before potting up individually...

Grew Lychees last year, put about 12 stones in a bag of damp vermiculite in the same warm cupboard and had 100% germination within 2 weeks.

Gave them away but kept 2 back for myself, got a nice little 8" plant on the windowsill, just waiting for it to spring in to life..:blue thumb:

Thats exactly it Longk, I've had a go at growing a lot of stuff from the supermarkets, just for the crack, just for a bit of fun, just to see what can be grown from things normally bought for food, it's interesting that's for sure. To date I've grown, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, clementines, apples, pears, pomegranite, ginger, pineapple, lychee, passion fruit, kiwi, mango, advocado, dates and custard apple (this year)

I did a Spaghetti squash, but the season wasn't long enough to mature the fruits.
