Sorry I haven't been here for some time DAG, I see I have quite some catching up to do.

The dragonfly is magnificent, the detail on the wings must have been as much work as on the HMS Victory.

Marge's beautiful Molly looks lovely framed.

I love that one of Claire, it matches the one of Anne in style. I just hope you don't keep it on the kitchen floor all the time? ;)

The doggie boys always look good.

Wonderful picture of Pat's boys, you really did them justice.

Well thank you SunshineP, just to say that it was mixed media, ink and watercolour. [IMG]

Also thank you for the update comments KG, and no, the dragonfly only took about 2 days, the HMS Victory took about 2 months including research and that is only the first phase of the project.

I am about to start for the third time on phase 2, so it's not going very well so far! [IMG]

I do my best, but sometimes things don't go to well, and on a bad day, it is these encouraging remarks that keep you going! [IMG] :D

Hello again! After approximately a year I have now managed to drag myself away from the computer to do another painting and hope to do some more shortly.

This is the first one in watercolour.

:) Hi DAG ... how fantastic to see you back ... it has been a long time .....

Well, I certainly don't know where I was looking or doing at the time but I have never seen that beautiful portrait of our lovely rosa/Linda .... it is her in real life and I know she must be very proud of it .... it's almost like a photograph of her and I should know as I have so many ....

Now, who is this latest poppet :) ? Is it someone you have adopted? You know me and Sis are cat lovers .... have you looked in Pets and seen Cal's new girlfriend? Now there is a beauty for you to paint .... hint, hint, hint ...

I've started a painting after a break myself since the Spring so maybe I'll post it over the holidays.

Stay with us this time .... :luv:

Hello again LoL and thank you for the warm welcome!

That kitten is called Luna and belongs to a lady that runs another forum. Her forum is for crafts and I included the balls of wool mainly for colour against a black and white subject and thought it appropriate to her forum as well.

I have now been to your thread 'Cals New Girlfriend' and oh yes, such a lovely romance and Petal must be my next painting but not sure how long it will take!

Now, DAG, this is really spooky ... the other cat who lives with Petal is called Luna ....

This pic was taken the day I took the pic of Petal in Graca's hand as a babe in September ...

Like Sis, I am very glad to see you back on here and sharing your wonderful paintings with us all again, DAG.

As I said before, I love the painting of Baby Luna and the coloured balls of wool round off the picture so beautifully.

Sis is right, Petal would make a lovely subject for your next painting. Another gorgeous kitten!

That is the first picture I have seen of Graça's Luna, Sis. A Glückskatze, lucky cat, as they say in German.
