Dahlias anyone?

    Some time after first heavy frost has blackened them. or not at all, as often them will be fine outside - although if they are Wet and Cold that is likely to cause rot, and if you leave them in the ground they will be slower getting started in the Spring, and thus a bit later to start flowering.

      It's called mystery day. I grew it this year looks even better than the photo imo, hope that helps

        Depends where your located but normally after the first frosts have blackened the foliage, last year down here in the South East, I think it was about the last few days October.

          The one in the original post was Edinburgh, although I'm not sure how one would tell them apart!!

          I guess Mystery Day looks redder, although internet photos are often way off on colour.

          I grow one called Rebecca's World which has similar colouring - albeit different form:

          it starts red and fades to white over time.

          I'm pretty sure it's mystery day just early on, I would have took a picture this morning but never had time, but I suppose my tuber could have been mis-labelled :-)
