Is that the Aztec? Oh woo I'm sorry :grphg:
Could you cut the affected bits off and stick it in a pot? It should recover and you can always keep the tubers. Could try nematodes for next year?

Oh @wiseowl I feel your pain. I bought some Dahlias from my local garden nursery and the slugs have had a field day. I tried slug repellent gel, but that's been about as much use as a chocolate frying pan. I've now tried Nematodes. I only did the application Friday, so it'll be a few days/week before I see any benefit. I've left mine in the planters they're in, in the hope that they produce more growth as the season continues.

Can I trim off the worst affected areas of my Dahlias to encourage more growth?

Personally I would leave them until more new leaves appear as you'll only further weaken it.

My Dahlias down the allotment were reduced to stems. I added liquid fertiliser and some blood fish and bone, then nematodes and organic slug pellets. After a week, they are all back and starting to look healthy again. I'm also keeping weeds and other plants away from their immediate vicinity.

Extreme gardening but once they're big enough they'll look after themselves :)

              Thanks @JackJJW :blue thumb:

I'm lucky that all mine are in planters, and haven't been totally obliterated. I'll give them some feed and cross my fingers and toes that they perk up. :ccheers:

My Cactus Dahlias are starting to flower :hapydancsmil: First two to show are D. Striped Vulcan on the left and D. Orfeo (I think?). The D. Bishops Children have been flowering for a couple of weeks now.

A few picked from the garden today.
English breakfast. I like it but the blooms are too heavy and weigh it down a bit.

Arabian night, by far the most vigorous I've got.
To the point where I'm a bit fed up of it! Blooms really dark when not in full sun (these ones are). Might plant it with whites like ammi majus next year for more contrast.
