Mine are kicking into life all over the place now, I'm going to be inundated as per always! No complaints though, my wife loves the cut flowers! :)

A few more that have sprouted. I've nipped them off to bush out a bit:

Is everyone else putting their Dahlias out now? Down here in London the night temps are at least 8 -10C now. Although the odd night is predicted at 5C. I'm a bit confused as to when to put them out, i.e. I know they won't tolerate frost, but can they tolerate low night temps?

My tubers are in pots of compost outdoors simply because I have no room in the greenhouse for them, but they are very slow to get going this year. I am beginning to wonder if they will go at all.

I'm planning to put mine out mid next week..... most of mine have sprouted strong growth and this next week will be them hardening off outside of the greenhouse! I counted last night I've got 28..... and my gardens small!

Thanks Sam! I'll do the same. I'm putting them outside in the day now but bringing in at night.

I noticed yesterday that they're magnets for aphids.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no expert but I thought an additional week or hardening off will help and I go away a week Friday and want them in the ground all staked and ready :)

Mine have been out all year in pots underneath the decking, showing signs of life...others have been out for a few weeks in the planter and are doing well...

That's interesting. Properly outside? If yours are surviving like that in Wirral I'll probably do the same next winter down here in London.
