That must be it Wylie with the plants can't believe their luck its so warm with you :snork:
Spruce I have a scape on 'Turkey Lurkey'!!!!! :dbgrtmb:
A few more are showing scapes at last but it'll still be a while before they flower, Pretty Miss's shrivelled and fell off when the weather turned cold again but is sending up more now, oh well at least the iris are starting to look good

One of my crosses has started flowering:
        Calico Jack sdlg (3).JPG
This is a Calico Jack sdlg. I forgot to make a note of the pollen parent:doh:It is an orangey red. I am undecided if I will keep it, but I am trying to cross it with the pollen of one of my Amethyst Reflections sdlgs - it would look better if it was a double.:heehee:
One that looks like it will have seeds with Amethyst Reflections sdlg pollen is Evermore Lights x Spiney Sea Urchin:
Evermore Lights x Spiney Sea Urchin.JPG
The more I see it, the better I like it. It has a bud count of 18, a bitone, and is 5" across
Last year I didn't get anything on Jamaican Me Crazy. It grew, tried to flower, but was a real loser. So I moved it and now I am getting flowers again:
        Jamaican Me Crazy.JPG
Then for a size comparison, there is this one:
        SBxPR & Little Missy.JPG
The one at the top is Little Missy, and directly in front is Strutter's Ball x Persian Ruby. SBxPR is top heavy, so it has fallen over to be right next to Little Missy. Either that or Pandy, my black & white cat, has been playing again among the plants.
A small disappointment is Red & White Delight x Julia's Choice:
        Red & White Delight x Julia's Choice.JPG
It should have been cream with an eye, but it does fit in with some of the dark reds that I have.

My first thought on seeing the last one was 'Night Beacon' Wylie :)
Oooo now I bet the seedlings will be something to look forward to from the (Amethyst Reflections) X (Evermore Lights x Spiny Sea Urchin)
Spruce a scape's forming on 'Pink Enchilada' :hapydancsmil:

After a couple of days of sunshine, everything wants to open again, both the great and the ordinary. Sometimes the bonus plants are great, and other times less so. Here is one I got this year when I bought Womanizer:
          From Morning Dews.JPG
This is From Morning Dews. A DIP, 5" and reblooms.
On a brighter note, Spacecoast Dragon Prince is finally looking good:
          Spacecoast Dragon Prince.JPG
I have 2 flowers open today, so this one was crossed with Spacecoast Sea Shells, and the other with Free Wheelin'.
          Entrapment x Butterfly Whimsy.JPG
This is Entrapment x Butterfly Whimsy. It looks fairly ordinary, but in real size it is 3.5" across - that picture cropping feature really works.
          Frankenflower (2).JPG
This is the center of Frankenflower.
But then there are those that need no cropping because you have to stand back to get them in the frame:
          Caledonia x Crocodile Jaws.JPG
This is Caledonia x Crocodile Jaws, a 7" TET.

I was out doing my morning rounds, and even though I have 125 tags for crosses, I have managed to use them all. I counted over 2 dozen involving applique throats. Often they don't set, so I reuse the tags, but I don't have any extras for tomorrow, so I'll have to make some more.

Hallo "Daylily" experts, :love30: my patch of daylilies possibly "Kwanso" is looking very good ,plenty of strong green leaves, but not a sight of any flower stems at all. Does it need dividing, as I understand from previous posts it`s very vigorous, if so when is the best time to do this please .:help:.

I don't have Kwanso myself, so I don't know if it will bloom later. I have several that have finally put up scapes for the first time, 2 months behind the others. But generally, dividing is done in the spring shortly after the ground can be worked or in the fall 6 weeks before the first frost is expected. I do it anytime except the hottest months of July & August, but if you do it now, watch if it needs water. Be careful with the underside of the crown as this is where the scapes are put up. YouTube has videos on how to divide daylilies.

I don't always show those I think are just not up to being kept, but here is one:
                    Canadian Border Patrol x Fringy.JPG
Canadian Border Patrol x Fringy. It has a great edge - pink with a yellow wire outer edge; but the eye is very weak and I would say the main self is muddy.
I have 5 applique throated plants open today, the star being Spacecoast Sea Shells, so I made several more crosses using its pollen on Incendiary x Catcher In the Eye:
Incendiary x Catcher In the Eye.JPG
And on Colorado Moon Fire x Sulphrite Prism:
Colorado Moon Fire x Sulphrite Prism.JPG
I also made 4 other crosses, so hopefully I will have lots of potential seeds for applique types.

Thanks Wylie, i have a few escapees coming up about a foot from the main clump , think I will get them up and pot. I seem to remember it being later July/August but thought I should see signs by now, will leave it until Autumn anyway.

I have Kwanso Pam and no sign of scapes on mine yet either, all the daylilies are way behind this year most of mine are only just starting to send up scapes, looking back on last years pictures the first ones were flowering on the 5th of June!!!! think it'll be at least 2 weeks before any are remotely near flowering, Kwanso's lovely but a b*&%^r for sending scapes out all over the place one thats not allowed in my daylily bed :hate-shocked:, it has a spot in the border with plenty of room :heehee:

Don't think I could compost it Wylie :wallbanging:
'Spacecoast Seashells' is stunning:wub2: , I keep checking my 'Spacecoast Behaviour Pattern' for scapes its still only two fans but huge fans really hoping it flowers this year.
