You're right, Spruce, I do like First Knight. It seems to have no trouble passing on its ruffled edge. I got Fun In the Sunshine and Blushed With Emerald just to use their edges. Point of View looks like you might need some sunglasses.

Point of view is a cracker colour for hybridising ? and a real strong grower

I have been adding all the Hybridising info hoping it may help in your choice of what to use

                      amazing

here the bits I was looking for

Hemerocallis 'Nile Crane' (Nile Crane Daylily) - Another great hybrid daylily introduced by Munson in 1978. This tetraploid is evergreen and the rich green foliage matures to a height of 26 inches. It forms silver-lilac to bluish-lavender cream-throated blossoms with highlights of cream-flesh and chartreuse which start in midseason and repeat

Think of hybridizing like mixing paint - the soft colours will tone down a strong red or orange; and if you have something like Outrageous, it will help beef up a colour. Nect year you should be able to see the results I get from using a Joy of Life seedling that is a strong orange (I have several seedlings growing). You can also see some results on my new seedlings using Better Lucky Than Good that I have posted on this thread.
Simbad: I know how you feel - I have already gotten rid of a couple that were new this year, and some that I kept from last year aren't going to make it.
