I would cross Alien with something that has a pattern or a colour that is different. Ask yourself if the world needs another plain yellow or yellow with the same chevron. Maybe Trahlyta (if it ever does anything - mine is growing but no scapes) or Magic of Oz. Today I have tried crossing Lois Burns to a Big Kiss sdlg [double] and to my Black Arrowhead s Malachite prism sdlg - I'm playing with its green throat.
I am trying pollen I took yesterday from Life Is A Highway. It didn't produce any until after 12 noon, so I put it in a paper envelope I made and into the refrigerator. Today I have tried several crosses and marked them as that to see if it will work.

Damn had two flowers open on 'Trahylta' yesterday lots of buds left on both though so I'll try another day, the really exciting news is the cross I did of 'Destined to See' and 'Julie Newmar', in the hope of something special like 'Master of Disguise', has a pod forming :hapydancsmil: , know its early days and it could still drop off so did a couple more today just in case :)
I'm finding myself looking at my daylilies in a totally different light this year since trying a bit of crossing, noticed today 'Girl Scout' which I used to think of as just a normal yellow has the most fabulous green throat :)
An hour for the deadheading today :heehee:

And siamese twins :), this one did have a label 'German Ballerina' but whether it is that or a cross I don't know quite nice colouring I thought? only a small flower 3-4inch maybe a keeper?

It looks like German Ballerina, and it also looks like it would be a good one to cross with Alien.:ideaIPB:
                  Love the mutants :hapydancsmil:.
Your yellow double is like one I have of Big Kiss x Affirmative - it has had a lot of singles, but is slowly beginning to get extra petaloids, so I will keep it and hope that next year it will be fully double.
I used both Destined to See and Julie Newmar with Life Is A Highway, and pods are beginning to form on those :yahoo:. Just one more flower still to open on the scape of LIAH .

I thought it looked very similar Wylie :dbgrtmb: the lady who I bought the seedlings off had soo many pots and I was allowed to pick which I wanted, the birds had pulled most of the labels out, some were divisions and some seedlings I did get another named variety 'Lake Effect' which still had a label and there's another couple that look quite special, ones flowering today so picture later.
Ooo you'll love my pictures later then loads seem to be polys and my seedling from last years starting to open it looks so dark this year :hapydancsmil:,a bit of a dull day so not sure if it'll make it all the way, its amazing how different the colouring is on most of them today 'Greywoods Nautical Nellie' has a fabulous eye :wub2:.
I'll definitely be keeping my eye on that yellow double then  its got a great substance to really thick petals, wonder if its another named one :scratch:we'll never know I suppose as this one didn't have a label.
