Good old "Gold Elephant" still only the one fan but it flowers its heart out maybe thats why I only have one fan ?

Don't feel bad about the magpie- I have an area that I call "Way Back", and either a black bird or a pidgeon gets up early and eats the flowers. The evening before there are buds just opening, and in the morning, maybe a dropped petal - the rest of the flower is gone.. It doesn't go to the other areas, just this one.

 

Before Botox finally opened, and even if it isn't the best flower around, you can see the sculpted lines in it.

I did have a surprise in a seedling that didn't flower last year, but is open today. Blue Eyed Bandit x Unk, a 4" TET

All it takes is one really great flower to get me off on having a good day, and I got lucky today. In the area where I have problems with a bird eating the flowers, it must not like purple or thinks it is grape flavoured, because it didn't destroy White Eyes Pink Dragon x Arnette Zapel; a TET that is a strong purple with lavender halo and a white wire edge:

Been planting a few more out on the allotment this morning the 'Crescent Jump' x 'String Theory' babies they were a bit small in spring but doing really well now, the ones planted out in April are all doing amazingly well 'Beautiful Edgings' x 'Mama Cuna' are huge and have 2 or 3 more small fans emerging exciting

 

You are lucky you do some planting and moving - here it is too dry & hot to do anything unil next month. It is exciting to see the little seedlings multiplying - you should have lots of new flowers next year.
