You have got to be JOKING!?! And you actually paid him? I suggest Mr fiz seek him out and demand your cash back elaine.
That man deserves to be shopped to the Tax man for crimes against honest evaders!

    Elainfiz,
I hope you paid him very little!
As you say>>>You can`t go forward if you don`t know which way your facing>>> That is very much the case here!
That is why the guy is out of work. But then he could be a good butcher, but as for decorator...I don't know if I could do better myself, but if I would pay someone that I don't know how he works I would be observing him like a watchdog.

It`s lovely innit?Amazingly,he knocked on my front door earlier today, came to ask if everything was OK,and we hadn`t fallen out with him,had we?(i really think he was taking the p*s*)Did you cook last night? If any bits are peeling off i`ll stick it back on for you. :DDo you think you over paid me?I`ve been chewed up all night worrying.(when Mr.fiz disappeared last night he`d gone and yanked him out of the boozer)and he said in reference to this,You know,Mr.fiz didnt have to loose his head and embarrass me like that.I told him,He didnt loose his head mate,if he had you would have felt it.Just be thankfull you only got a few pints out of us and your jaws still intact. To be honest i paid more for the 3 rolls of paper than i paid him and needless to say he`ll be doing no more wallpapering for anyone if i have out to do with it. ;)

I know something elaine if it was me i would strip the lot of the walls and give to him, then put it down to a bad experience and honestly i would redo the lot as to be perfectly honest with you, unless you have extra paper left to have them bits taken of and put up again, I just feel that the rest must be messy and not even matched well by the looks of things.
If my o/h hadnt of been coming home, i would of driven to yours and had a look and try to sort it out for you or even redo the whole lot for you unless you can wait until he goes away again but looks like he will be here right over the holidays now.

That wallpapering is awful eliane
Needless to say he won't be doing much more decorating for anyone other than his family, but you must feel sorry for them...their whole house must look like that
To be positive yours is only a small area to be wallpapered and all is not lost but what was he thinking of, maybe he is deluded and thinks he is good at it :D

He wants shooting. He must have been a pikey. No proper painter and decorator would do such appaling work.I would get the photos and send them to the Watchdog programme or better still Rogue Traders.

I have put this on another thread but thought i would put it here as well, as we are on the subject of decorating.
My son has an internet site called www.trustedtrades.co.uk which has lots of trades to pick from and you know you will get a trusted person instead of a cowboy. Just click on search and see the recommendations from real people. My son doesn't get paid anything from this site, but if you click on the advert on the bottom it pays him a small fee that goes to host the site.
