    :dh: Oh my gosh Kindred never knew about them & not too far for me, how did I mis that..?? :dh:... Will have to take a visit next year... It is now top of my list..!! What a fabulous place..!! Thanks so much for reminding us.... :thumb:

      I used to live a couple of miles from Dewstow. I grew up around that area and my mother told me about the sunken gardens. She remembers seeing them being neglected and partially buried during the second world war. I spent hours as a child searching for a trace of those gardens, I was fascinated by the idea.
