    Hiya BM

Well, we had to move the TF into the car port as it was too heavy to lug up onto the lawn, where it would have had to be tied up, whilst the work is going on (YES - IT STARTED TODAY!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!)and as the fronds were tatty, and WAY too high for under the port, we chopped off the older ones (ouch!!), which now leaves the 4 new ones, but on inspection, there are at least 6 more on their way!!! Although it looks really, really healthy and happy, of couse, as yet, it is no way near as good as yours, but by this time next year, BM, I'll be giving you a real run for your money!!!! ;) ;) ;)
Mr HB and the Gardener have already been discussing Huge Gunneras, Bamboos and a larger pond!!!

Cool. I like the sound of that Huge Gunneras, Bamboos and a larger pond!!! I nearly broke my back carrying the 6 footer on my shoulder to the car from B&Q. I was so excited to have bought it I forgot how heavy it was. I managed to get 3 in to my then people carrier.

    Hi BM

How are your TFs and others doing??
The TF and Bananas are loving this hot weather!!! We have another 3 fronds made an appearance, and another 5 at least inside!!!! We have had to move the pot again to avoid the landscaper taking it out!!!! And my Bananas (the big one and the baby ones) are growing like mad!!!! Mr HB won £72 on the lottery last night, and is contemplating another TF...... better get him to B&Q quick before he spends it on something else!!!!! I finally got my pack of hardy ferns from Parkers on Friday - was pleasantly surprised after the reports from others on here - they must have taken notice of all the complaints!!

Sorry HB did not spot the thread update. Doing great HB, I have no guilt about hose watering as we are not in a ban area, so they are not going without. Why not spend the money on a humugous pot for the current TF to go in instant extra couple of foot of height? Hope the landscaping is going ok and not too disruptive?

Some pics I took this weekend as I had a tidy blitz for some relatives that visited this weekend.

Blimey, gets worse before it can get better! yep my garden is small. Pre-extension it was 25x50+, but we nicked about 12 foot for the extension. Just shows how important height and seating levels is in garden design. Also work the sight line from the diagonals with colour contiuation and you can make it look much bigger. I have a patio area off the house, a path to the dog yard, then passed the bananas under the palm to the 'clearing', then through the rose arch to the 1 secret room, and then up the oak stump steps to the imtimate secret room. 1 small garden about 17 trees and numberous huge shrubs, 5 benches and one very happy Banana Man.
