I doubt if sulphur smoke would have much effect on blight spores as if indeed there are any they will be on or very close to the soil surface. Sulphur is as far as I understand mainly use to kill insects.
I doubt if the sulphur would do much damage to mature plants and a good washing should make them safe to eat.

I use Jeyes on the soil in my polytunnel to help kill of any over wintering pests and fungi. I dig out the top couple of inches every winter, lightly water the soil surface with dilute Jeyes and then cover with plastic for a few days to help trap the vapour. I then ventilate until the soil is dry and then add fresh compost.

If you had tomato blight it was most likely as a result of wind blown spores entering the greenhouse.

This RHS article should provide you with some useful info -

I've never used sulphur candles but I always thought you had to get everything out the greenhouse before using them.
They kill pests and fungus apparently, sulphur is a good fungicide, burn it and its probably lethal.

Never heard of growing purple sprouting broccoli in a greenhouse.

Rabbits and pigeons lead me to put a few purple sprouting broccs in GH a few years ago, and never looked back! Crops really well over a long period
and have added a couple of sprouts this year. After all the snow and frost this year the pigeons have stripped my leeks down to soil level, but the broccoli in the GH has come through and is just starting to sprout out.

So the saying about "Necessity being the mother of invention" is true! Well done for thinking of it and being "brave" enough to carry it through. [hr]
I use a pressure spray filled with Jeyes Fluid to clean my Greenhouse inside and out. I leave it for 24 hours and then wash it off with the cleaned presssure spray. I do know using the sulphur candles [fumigating] is very efficient. But my experience from spending 6 years in Kenya was that whenever any structure was fumigated to get rid of unwanted "guests" they went to visit their in-laws until the all clear sounded! I'm also unhappy with using a sulphur candle because of it's ability to attack aluminium, however slight. I'll stick to Jeyes and a pressure sprayer and deal with the "guests" as they arrive!
