DIY Topiary

    Oh compostee.... conifers and wobbly step ladders I remember those days from our old house, a dangerous job indeed exspecialy with the power trimmers! Helen.xxx.

    Yeah, someone i know told me about their grandkids visiting a maze maize somewhere, might be that one. Looks good, took some planning. That's a good way for farmers to diversify.
    Still, I got a 11' privet hedge to tame and train an arch into it. My landy will come in handy for that one, standing on the bonnet makes for an easier life. it's just the moving it 6' at a time. But one of my hedge trimmers is 8' long so atleast i can reach the back of the hedge that's up against a building. I'm looking forward to that too.

    Hi guys and girls just got round to doing my first DIY topiary.
    As I hate to pay big prices for things I used an old wire egg basket in the shape of an hen which I picked up at a carboot for 50p and chopped of the "wings" and cut out the bottom put a box in and now I'll have to wait and see how things grow!

    Mackem I'ave seen that one before but for the life of me I don't know where..all I know is I had a good giggle when I first saw it.
    Looks like the neighbour refused to turn the other cheek! :D
