Lovely pics, D1zi. I particularly like that blousey peachy rose! Do you know what it's called and is it scented?

Your poser there looks similar to my Cal.

I can't give any advice as I'm still learning and I haven't got a clue what camera is what, so I'll just oooh and aaah occasionally.

    Well done! [IMG] [IMG]

    Thanks Kandy and LOL

LOL I don't know what the rose is called, I bought it from a local college that have a garden centre where the students can sell what they grow, it didn't have a label, but it's a climer and it's really spread well in the couple of years I've had it, and yes it smells heavenly

The college is the best garden centre around for miles.

Kandy do you go there? It is Moulton College.

I'm pretty sure it flowers right through (hoping I haven't got it confused with any of the other roses)

[IMG] Ooh I don't think I've been there, I'll have to pay it a visit, thanks for that I am sick to death of Wyvale who seem to have bought all the local places out

Hey you're getting good there; the second rose shot, pic#3, the background is a bit distracting, if you can alter the exposure so that you are using a larger aperture (smaller number = larger aperture) that will tend to throw the background out of focus.

In this shot the part of the trellis toward the top right is hardly noticeable and the leaves are somewhat "subdued"

This one is almost overdone, the whole background is just a diffused blur, no sign of the stem and the leaves are almost lost.
