well the latest medium range forecasts points to the potential for warm and humid weather.. a far cry from recent, and potentially excellent growing weather.

Yay, we're forecast heavy rain this evening (which has just started by the look of it) :hapydancsmil:

We had a piddly pathetic amount yesterday which was nowhere near enough for my plants so this is very welcome (although I reserve the right to complain about the rain again if it carries on for more than a few days) :)

Yes, and I can also remember all the moaning about wanting rain earlier in the spring before the summer deluge started.;)

Whilst on the subject I think it is next month that in Salford, will be "unveiled" an eco building which the claim it will only need 10 days maintenance a year (!!!quite unbelievable). Apparently it is based on the African model meaning growing one produce on top of the other.

We've now had some decent rainfall over the last 2 days but also some nasty gusty wind, I didn't order that! Lets see if this encourages some of the seeds I scattered to germinate.

It chucked down here today while I was at work, much to my delight. It absolutely hammered it down. It was rumbling and everything. Then it was dry and warm again by the time I set off home. Brilliant.

It's been a case of heavy and persistent showers for the last 3 days in West Cheshire and although it's restricted my ambles into the garden it is needed.:coffee::snork:

Well, it nearly rained last night :blue thumb:. I've put up a 'Try Harder' sign!

We don't really want rain today as we are opening our garden this morning for a few people that missed the open day - and, this afternoon, this afternoon one of our neighbours have got their daughter's wedding in their garden.

Excellent. I hope it went well for them. A friend of ours had her engagement do in her dad's garden, which was the garden of the house she grew up in, and it meant the world to her.

Unfortunately for the wedding (but good for our garden) we had a monsoon mid afternoon. I hope their marquee withstood the onslaught.
