hi barneyb, he will be a cross bull terrier, he is our local club resident dog, just sketched him for the owner a lady as he is terrified of men, told her to give the members men of course some treats and eventually he will come round, he is about 8 month old

Quick tip for dog and cat photos. Just as we get red eyes from the flash in human portraits, so we get that unpleasasant "cataract" effect in the eyes of dogs and cats. Most camera software enables you to correct it. Another way is to diffuse the flash from your camera by temporarily fixing a thin piece of tissue paper over the flash with sello tape. It will greatly improve the "eye appeal" of your animal portraits.

thanks wildflower and thanks hb for the tip, I have a red eye reduction on the digi and trying to get that perfect picture for sketching can be difficult, I take lots of pictures and delete the rubbish ones.

LoL must admit she does do a great pose, normally dogs are hard to take, might get this last one enlarged and framed.
