Sorry, Victoria, you're right of course.............despite my factual brain telling me there's no such thing.........I would dearly love to be disproved. The problem being the more "evidence" I hear the less I believe my chances to be proved wrong are. There's a major part of me that wants to see something that will make me believe I'm wrong and throughout my life I've been looking for just that without any result.
I don't poo poo peoples account of experiences all I ask for is real factual proof. I keep hearing of these experiences but the lack of proof is so consistent. You'd think after the centuries of people seeing whatever and particularly in this era of technology there would be undeniable proof by now:dunno: So I wait on the sidelines a disbeliever who desperately wants to be disproved.....but I'm not holding my breath.:coffee:

Doesn't help certainly that people are posting fakes on the internet all the time.

I think 'The boy who cried wolf' is sometimes the most relate-able story to the human race.

Even evidence is difficult to believe because of this; so if someone has had a genuine experience or has genuine evidence, it probably will never get attention.

I am as Armadii on this

However, My brother was taken to one of these physic places, by work colleagues

The physic picked him out and gave him verbatim details, that only he or I would have known
I put it down to lose talk in the office, passed on to the physic

My daughters have office girls party nights and pay for one of these women to come and do their party trick
Again verbatim stuff only they would know, once including the strange voice of a daughters ex mother in law, Again I put it down to lose talk in the office

They say not and to go myself, I would but I grudge the fifty quid

Thinking about it, I think I will, Unknown to anyone, I will just go to her, pay my monies and be guarded in what I say to her questions, see what happens

Most probably from my Tan and age, and ability to pay £50 say you like to holiday abroad, :-)
Pick a card RED or BLACK
    RED
    That leaves me with BLACK
    or
    BLACK
    Good ODD or EVEN
    EVEN

I must confess the information given out to my Brother was amazing and exact, but only what he talks freely about when he knows someone

Hey I do not work anymore, have time on my hands, and I guess £50 is worth it to put it to rest :-)

    Jack McHammocklashing
That leaves me with ODD ETC ETC

Your black kitchen is clearly attracting the evil spirits into your kitchen in my opinion :snork:

:) Ahhh. I love how the new world sees things. That house is a new born babe, Penny.:heehee: Probably no older than 1930, I'd say. My house is still a small child, having been built in the 1880s. The bits of Roman wall down the road from me are somwhat more antique: they date from around 225 AD.

Your wish is my command, Penny, although I fear you might not think it's much of a looker. :heehee: There are bits of old masonry in various locations, but I walk past this wall most days:-

When I was little, there was a ghost that used to keep me awake, and terrified, in my house. I told my parents of this, and they both thought I was crazy and even started the ball rolling to get me psychiatric help. Whenever they asked my older sister, she'd just say I was right as though it was matter of fact. They just figured she was tormenting me by egging me on.

Then one day I was poorly. Sufficiently poorly where I really ought to have been in hospital but our freindly family GP, the one that diagnosed the common cold for my gran 5 days before she died of pneumonia, said I'd be fine, so I was at home. My parents decided to do regular checks on me through the night, like every 15 minutes, taking turns, so they could each get chunks of half an hour's rest.

The next morning I was picking up a bit. My parents sat me down to ask a serious question. They asked me about the ghost I kept seeing. After a short chat, my mam told me that as she'd got up to take her turn to check on me, she'd seen what in the dark she thought was me come out of my room and go into the loo. She figured she'd go and sit on my bed anyway until I came back in. I was already in there, fast asleep. My dad had also heard my door open and someone walk out across the landing as my mam was about to come and see me.

when I was 5 years old, I had scarlet fever and was very sick

I was confined to bed with a high fever .... there was an old man in my room, dressed in a grey suit, who sat in my wardrobe and spoke to me for several hours on a daily basis

say what you want .... he was there and no one (not even my mother) can convince me otherwise ... I was not afraid of him and only I could hear him (I'm not joking) ... told my mom, and she rubbed vicks vapour rub on my chest and told me to rest and stop hallucinating

Has anyone else watched 'Psychic Sally'? If not, I recommend it. Best comedy show on telly. Sally: 'Is there a Walter in the room?' ...... (silence) ....... Walter, anyone? .... (silence) Wait, wait, he's telling me I've got it all wrong ...... something to do with water, as in tap water ...... does anyone here have a connection to water? (A dozen hands shoot up) 'Yes, you, darling, what's your connection?' Audience member, in tears: 'it's my grannie, I know it! *looks wistful* She always loved the seaside .... Sally: Well, darling, she just wants to say that she's very happy and that you should look after your feet .... Audience member (excited): it is her, I know it! Who else would know I'm suffering from a bunion! :wallbanging:

I'm afraid the commercial charletons can't win in my book.

Lets consider that they are genuine. Then they are tormenting the souls of the departed for nothing more than entertainment. In life it would be outlawed as blatant bullying and exploitation.

But of course these people are not genuine, so instead they are exploiting people who are obviously grieving, or in the case of general 'interested' audience members, the charletons are insulting people's intelligence.
