    update.....

That's one complete pattern - 13 rows of it, as well as the first base row of the chains, and two foundation rows of double crochets.

After that, in each row you gradually increase the diamond of double crochets as you decrease the diamond of trebles, with the spider's web of chain always being 8 chain to link the two diamonds, but doubling in length in the final row, as you can see...... When I do the next row, I'll be putting a double crochet into the centre of those long chains, to start off another diamond of doubles - easy when you know how!! :D

Had to share my finished poncho for myself.

Ran out of wool only needed a wee bit for shell pattern.
Went and bought another ball.I am pleased how it has turned out for a beginner.

[IMG] Mary I know where there is a mistake but had difficulty trying to fix it.

I am as proud as punch what I have acheived.I make add someting else at neckline now that I ahve this extra ball of wool, only had a wee bit left to finish shell when I ran out of wool.

Now can start another blanket for hospice.

Find it theraputic when you can't get outside.

Well done, Scotkat! You could always say that you've done the same as those carpet-makers in the orient, who deliberately put a mistake into their work, as only God is perfect....... :D

Trying to do the crab stitch edging on neckline to finish off poncho. Not sure if I have done stitch correct but seems to give a nice finished edge anyway.
