Read it again, my friend. What he's saying is that he would bomb the IS controlled oilfields and whatever other oil fields there are...........which is just pure blustering as is his norm. No Senate or Congress whether Republican or Democratic controlled would even think about giving him permission to do so. As for putting troops on the ground the American public would most definitely not want their boys out there again after all the disasters they have had over the years in the Middle East, and the bombing of the US Embassy and Marine Barracks in Lebanon, the Mogadishu debacle, Operation Eagle Claw [the attempt to rescue the Iran hostages] are still in the mind.
I think, despite the temptation not to:snorky:, it's important to not take his bluster literally and you have to read reality into his unreal statements otherwise you're reacting exactly to how his "speeches" are designed to make you react!!:whistle::snorky:

He's saying he would bomb IS controlled oil facilities. Fair enough so far, but read on. He would then have US oil oil companies move in to rebuild the infrastructure. Pretty much the strategy George monkey boy Bush adopted in Iraq, and look how that turned out.

Again, you have to read the reality into his "unreal" speeches, Clueless. None of the American companies would touch the Middle East with a barge pole, and, in fact, they're richer and more powerful than he is or will be. The people who would move in would the the Saudi's, Iranians, and if given the chance the Russians. Syria after the cessation of the civil war will still be a complete mess and anti-American, Russian, and West. America, in my opinion, is not in the political mood to put boots on the ground, [apart from the Special Forces and "Advisors" already there.] As I said, the likelyhood of any Congress or Senate letting him off the lead, should American voters be insane enough to make him POTUS, are extremely remote.
