@JWK Yes it is in the U.K. as we don’t go abroad so don’t know whether it is just a U.K. thing but a lot of the thirty+ years old youngsters have to walk round either with their Costa Coffee cups with the lids on and then take a sip from out of the little hole where the straw sits or they buy those metal reusable ones and they just stick a straw in the top and can have a sip while they are on the go etc.Our young next door neighbour (30+) was hoovering his car out the other week and down on the drive he had his metal cup with straw sticking out the top so he could have a slurp of coffee(home made) as and when he needed a drink

One of my nephews will often put up photos on social media of him and his wife taking their young son for a walk round the local country park and he has shorts and flip flops on.It does make me chuckle

I don’t always like the taste of the water from out of our taps so usually add a dash of squash to my glass or I have a couple of small plastic bottles full of water that I like to keep in the fridge as I don’t like warm water straight from the tap

We also take bottled water when we go on holiday as we bought a small plastic kettle for using inside the caravan and the taste that came out of the water was horrid and I couldn’t drink my tea in the end and that was even after Mr Kandy had sterilised everything with Milton first.Sometimes even the drinking water from the taps on the caravan sites can taste a bit strange especially up in Scotland so don’t know whether it is the peat that makes it taste different

 

It seems this thread has veered a long way from Donald Trump. I read today (not fake news) that he may be guilty of colluding with a foreign government to influence the American election, a treasonable offence apparently.

 

I dont find a problem with tap water, but what the hell that has to do with Donald Trump confuses me, could we perhaps blame him for the chlorine, or would that be fake news?
I dont believe any news now, I'm going to do what everyone else does.

@Redwing It wasn’t me that got on to the plastic and water debate I just added my two pennysworth and you will find that once you have been on here as long as us you will realise that the threads do tend to wander on to different subjects from time to time and stops us all getting bored
