Fascinating. So the IBD decided to run a story that had first been published in summer 2015 by the New York Post and invistigated and cleared by the FBI in the two intervening years. Subsequently, under the trump administration the FBI handling of the investigation was also investigated and is ongoing.
The basis of the reports came from Steve Schweizer in his book who subsequently stated..........
"Schweizer admitted he overreached in attacking Hillary Clinton's purported role in approving a Russian uranium deal and falsely claimed that then-Secretary of State Clinton "had veto power" to stop the Russian State Atomic Nuclear Agency (Rosatom) from purchasing Uranium One"

He may also have overplayed the bribery element too............
"In the book Schweizer alleged that the Clinton Foundation received $145 million in pledges and donations in exchange for Hillary Clinton's support of the Uranium One deal. This allegation has been repeated numerous times across conservative media, particularly by Sean Hannity, as evidence of a bribery scheme. However, $31 million of this amount was donated by Frank Giustra in 2005, and another $100 million pledged by him in 2007, the latter amount after he had severed ties with Uranium One. Both cases occurred years before any prospective Uranium One sale to Russian interests was known, and well before anyone knew Hillary Clinton would join the Obama administration in 2009 and might have any role in approving such a deal. PolitiFact identified about $4 million in donations from various Uranium One investors in the years before and after the Russian deal, but these amounts do not appear to be unusual compared to amounts that countless other donors have made to the Clinton Foundation"

One interesting paragraph in the IBD article..............
"So why would Russian nuclear officials send money to the Clinton Foundation? As we've pointed out, Hillary Clinton was then secretary of state. In that position, she sat on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), the panel that decides whether strategic foreign investments such as Rosatom's will be allowed to proceed."

Uranium One was a Canadian company and as such the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States had no say on whether the takover could take place or not!

don't think any of us will know the dirty truth ever. but folks do wonder about when certain people get too close to the truth about Killary, and they are willing to come forward to report they suddenly disappear.

Can I ask, again, that links to Fake News regarding either side of the discussion not be posted on GC. Such links are usually made for political reasons with an agenda to cover or distort the facts and truth.......GC should not be used as a platform to serve those political agendas.:dunno::doh:

                      Hmmmm.....

Whilst I absolutely understand why the Sioux people are not happy about this, I cannot help but think that them being Sioux is actually nothing to do with the situation. Have they been rode roughshod over? Yes. Have they fallen short on the Laramie agreement? Most likely, but then it is an agreement that is 150 years old, and things change. Does this happen elsewhere in the world? Yes.

Think the third runway at Heathrow (which I support, despite its unpopularity in some circles), and indeed HS2 (which I don't support in its current form) - - both of those projects have/are riding roughshod over some communities, and are clearly nothing to do with Trump.

Some people see things like this as necessary progress, whereas others see it as unnecessary expenditure and interference/bullying. Much as I don't really think much of Donald Trump, in this case I think that there was no winning no matter what decision was taken - - you cannot please all of the people all of the time.
