regardless to whether its a worth while program to watch or not, i'd be chuffed to the back teeth if someone came to transform my garden if it were a mess.

the kids got a superb area all of there own and the adults gained a superb space of their dreams. the price of the hot tub though :ouch1: they sure had a big budget for this episode.

I don't wish to sound negative when I say this. But I thought the colour scheme really hurt my eyes. :mute:

That show was mental! Remember one garden that consisted of just a large room that moved back and forth on some tracks. Very much thinking outside the box, but I wonder if that show only really connected with a small number of people

The point is, al, the program really hasn't anything to do with real gardening. Which is why I was disappointed that Alan Titchmarsh is not backing the call for more quality gardening programs but is "selling" the same book but under an different cover.:dunno:

I'd like to see a re-visit to all the gardens featured in a year or two.
Call me a pessimist, but I'm betting they will have deteriorated quite a bit by then.:frown:

The reason I haven't watched it is because of who is presenting it and the format.

Have to say im not really a fan of this series at all. Every show is just a glorified advert for garden "stuff". Very little info on plants and several of the designs leave a lot to be desired.

And what is it with ITV having to have an "angle" on everything, why are the gardens all done for people with a "back story". I'm sure everyone is very deserving but with several I do wonder why the relatives of the families concerned havent helped out, several of the gardens were not that bad to begin with, nothing a smaller scale spruce up woudn't have fixed. The old ladies garden a couple of weeks ago had some good mature screening plants, all ripped out and then they had to put some new screening in as it was so overlooked!

I'm not knocking the families featured in the show at all, but the format ITV have adopted, is just too corporate. If you are on twitter and follow the tweets from the show and the designer its all about the companies who supplied stuff rather than the plants/gardens. I do wonder how much the companies are paying to see their products used and get the plug.

Its a shame because we do need more better quality gardening shows on the TV, but "Love your garden" just doesn't come up to scratch.

I prefer the genuine feelings that all of us on Gardeners Corner have Gaz. I think I get more out of this than any of the TV shows that are currently running ATM,

          I agree.
The garden in the first episode wasn't that bad. Just needed tiding up and the addition of a few new plants. It made me cringe when they dumped those nice trellises. I hope there is someone in the background "re-homing" all the stuff they remove from these gardens.
