I had a friend that walked out of his front door to find two youths breaking into his mum's car.
He gave chase and managed to grab one of them.
After a scuffle he managed to hold him down and then mobile phoned the police.
They came swiftly and he said thank goodness, but then the police arrested HIM and not the youth.
The youth started sobbing and said the horrible man was hurting him lol (he wasn't injured)
They soon let my friend out, but it makes you wonder where was common sense!
If anyone broke into my mum's car or home, i wouldn't be offering tea and biscuits.

Farmers near us dig deep trenches around their fields to keep out undesirables. They use huge tree trunks ,even cement blocks at the gates too.

That's another scourge on society... 'Travellers'
They appear to have their own special rights and i don't think the police ever look forward to dealing with them one little bit.

Sounds an absolute nightmare @weedaway Just try ur best to get away from there. Do you get to go on holiday or get away from the house ever?

If I were you I would seriously look i to renting the house out and move elsewhere, even if just for a few months x

I can't imagine how it must feel to have a garden where you can't relax and feel safe.
It's enough to seriously damage a persons mental and physical health.
Wish you all the best weedaway

You say that the neighbours registered childminders are not seen together now?

I wonder if they are in a similar situation and one of them must always stay in the vicinity of their home ?
Maybe worth having a careful word with them .you need not say outright the problems you are having , you could adopt an interest of worry about them etc etc .
In other words .... Change your tact!
