Dream car ...

Was in Andalucia earlier in the year and it was love at first sight when I saw this little beauty at the kerbside. No petrolhead, I go for character and charm and can imagine myself tootling along in this down a hot dusty dirt road among the lemon groves, or simply turning a head or two (as you do) on the A10 ....

 

It is a canny little motor, and I bet it runs on little more than thin air. Trouble is with cars like that, they offer nowt in the way of protection in an accident. And if wife kicks you out, it wont offer much comfort as temporary overnight accommodation

My dream car is the Volvo 940 estate. They are safe, as demonstrated by the driver of this 940, now sat chilling out, letting the adrenaline wear off, after his little accident.


They are comfortable. They look nice (look at my beatiful Gothilda, in my avatar).

And you can live in them if you have to. Check out the boot space. Here's one on Autotrader.

And they are rear wheel drive, which gives them a very big personality, especially when its a bit cold and wet outside.

 

Looking at the damage to the lorry he/she hit something else first, unless he/she hit the back of a carvan which is now under the lorry

 

Gosh, it has got all serious around here Think I'm going through a hippy phase at the mo.

@alex-adam, I met a German girl that had a car very much like that once. Hers was hand painted in sky blue and bright yellow. She drove it all the from her home in Germany, up to Sheffield where I lived at the time, then on up to the north east, then presumably back again after her holiday. I presume her vehicle made it

 

Aren't there any new cars which anybody likes??

I quite like the Audi A4 Quatro. I'm even considering looking for a decent 3 or 4 year old one when Gothilda finally has to go to the Great Motorway.
